The best way to make your house look old, even if everything else is new is to have your floors dirty. If you have hardwood floors, they will most likely require thorough cleaning and polishing. However, if you or some of your neighbors going through the renovation, you should both learn how to cope with a neighbor's renovation.

Clean carpeting

Finally, make sure to clean all the carpets, if you have any in your home. If there are some that are left from the previous owners, it might be best to either give them to the professionals for cleaning or dispose of them outright. You can never know what those carpets have suffered.
